The mining industry is one of the key sectors of Armenia's economy. This industry is dynamically developing and attracting more and more companies. We have worked on the preparation of the draft mining code which was adopted on January 1, 2012. However, the code was adopted after significant modifications, and contains a significant number of inconsistencies. We continue to advocate for further changes to the code and, hopefully, for inclusion of the parts and sections of the draft code that have been eliminated from the current text for reasons unknown to us.
